Marriott signs to take Westin brand into Brazil


Marriott International has signed a franchise settlement with Hotéis Deville to introduce the primary Westin Hotels & Resorts in São Paulo, Brazil.

Slated to function 187-rooms and suites, the property expects to welcome its first visitors within the spring of 2024.

“We are delighted to announce this exciting new-build project in a prime location within the city to be developed by Hotéis Deville,” stated Laurent de Kousemaeker, chief growth officer, Caribbean and Latin America, Marriott International.

“São Paulo is a key South American gateway metropolis with nice alternative for brand spanking new high quality branded upper-upscale product.

“Our signature well-being Westin brand will offer a fresh and unique experience to both international and Brazilian guests.”

Located in São Paulo’s Itaim Bibi district, the Westin Hotel São Paulo will sit inside the JK Square mixed-use growth, which is slated to incorporate retail, places of work and residences.

Plans name for a restaurant positioned on the second ground, a bar built-in into the foyer on the primary ground and a leisure space on the third ground with a swimming pool and health centre.

For company and social occasions, the property is slated to function convention and assembly rooms of a number of sizes for various wants.

The architectural venture was developed by KPF, a famend American workplace.
