As many as 105 sufferers with dengue and viral fever have been admitted on Sunday to the federal government medical school in UP’s Firozabad, the place the ailments have claimed 51 lives to date.

No demise was reported on Sunday. Meanwhile, a village panchayat official was suspended for laxity. The principal of the medical school, Dr. Sangeeta Aneja, stated, “Today, 105 new sufferers of dengue and viral fever have been admitted whereas 60 folks recovered.”

As of now, 447 sufferers are admitted to numerous wards, she stated. She added, “The death toll stands at 51. No child died in the past 24 hours in the medical college.”

Meanwhile, a panchayat improvement officer of Massena village, Deepak Yadav, was suspended for laxity, the district administration stated.

Nodal officer Sudhir Kumar Bobde additionally visited affected areas reminiscent of Sudama Nagar and Ailan Nagar, enquiring about folks’s well-being and urging them to tell the Health Department in case of dengue and viral fever.

“There is a shortage of beds and the medicine given is of not good quality,” he alleged. Firozabad, which is round 50 km from Agra and 320 km from state capital Lucknow, has been battling an outbreak of dengue and lethal viral fever for the previous two weeks, with many of the victims being youngsters.

Some instances have been present in neighboring Mathura, Agra, and Mainpuri, based on officers.
