The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police on Sunday arrested Leena Paul, the spouse of alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, in reference to a Rs 200 crore dishonest matter. 

Chandrashekhar, who’s an accused in 21 instances together with the Election Commission bribery case, was on Saturday despatched to 16 days of police custody within the dishonest matter. The Delhi Police not too long ago invoked stringent provisions of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) towards Chandrashekhar and others.

The EOW registered an FIR towards Chandrasekhar for allegedly duping the spouses of former promoters of Ranbaxy, Shivinder Singh, and Malvinder Singh, of Rs 200 crore in addition to ongoing investigations towards him in a number of instances throughout the nation.
