An improvised explosive machine (IED) was detected and defused on Sunday by the safety forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

Police mentioned an IED was detected by the safety forces on Sunday morning by the roadside in Hamdania colony in Bemina outskirts space of Srinagar metropolis.

“The area was surrounded and the IED was successfully defused by the bomb disposal squad without causing any damage”, police mentioned.

IEDs are planted by the militants close to highways and on different floor hyperlinks to focus on automobiles of the safety forces and the VIPs.

To clear roads and highways, squads of safety forces referred to as the highway opening events (ROPs) transfer out within the morning earlier than permitting vehicular motion on the roads.
