A piece of staff of SpiceJet airline went on strike on the Delhi airport on Friday morning over points associated to lowered salaries, sources stated. When requested concerning the matter, SpiceJet spokesperson clarified that the provider’s flight operations on the Delhi airport are functioning usually.

“A section of employees working at the Delhi airport and having some issues have met senior officials and the matter is being resolved,” the spokesperson added.

Sources stated the staff who went on strike mentioned with the administration their points equivalent to lowered wage and its disbursement.

SpiceJet has been paying lowered salaries to a major variety of staff since 2020 as its funds have been hit resulting from COVID-19 pandemic-related journey restrictions. Other airways in India have lower the salaries too since 2020 for a similar motive.
