MakeMyTrip Refunded Rs 642 Cr For Travel Bookings During Mar 25-May 24, 2020


MakeMyTrip CEO Rajesh Magow on August 28 had mentioned that the domino impact of flight cancellations main to an enormous pile up of refund requests wanted a unprecedented effort to unravel for flight plan modifications, credit score shells, refunds and extra.

Leading on-line journey agency MakeMyTrip mentioned it has been capable of disburse Rs 642 crore in refunds for the journey bookings between March 25 and May 24, 2020, as a result of huge efforts put by its groups.

“We have disbursed Rs 642 crore in refunds for travel bookings between 25th March to 24th May 2020. Over the past eighteen months, our teams have spent considerable number of hours to ensure that our customers remain duly informed about the progress of their refund requests,” a MakeMyTrip spokesperson mentioned in a press release.

Besides this, MakeMyTrip has labored intently with its companion airways to assist resolve pending circumstances, it added.

Following the Supreme Court”s route to airways to refund fares booked for journey till May 24, 2020, “we have seamlessly passed on the refund received from airlines in entirety to our customers,” Magow mentioned.
