Drought-hit farmers in Chhattisgarh to get Rs 9,000 per acre help: Chhattisgarh CM Baghel

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday mentioned that if the crops are sown by the farmers within the state throughout the ongoing Kharif season get destroyed attributable to drought-like situations, then they’d be given monetary help of Rs 9,000 per acre.

“Shortage of rainfall has given rise to drought-like conditions in several areas (of Chhattisgarh). The state government stands with farmers in this time of crisis,” an official assertion quoted the chief minister as saying.

Those farmers who’ve sown paddy, kodo-kutki (millet), arhar pulse within the ongoing kharif season and if their crops get destroyed attributable to lack of rainfall, they are going to be given an help of Rs 9,000 per acre on the premise of survey (for evaluation of harm) below the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana (RGKNY), he mentioned.

Under the RGKNY, the state authorities offers enter help to farmers for crop manufacturing. The chief minister mentioned the biography of people artists late Punaram Nishad and late Madan Kumar Nishad could be printed and directed the Chhattisgarh State Text Book Corporation chairman to take essential steps on this regard, the assertion mentioned.
