Maruti Suzuki Commences Sixth Round Of MAIL Initiative

Maruti Suzuki India on Friday mentioned it has commenced taking functions for the sixth spherical of its Mobility and Automobile Innovation Lab (MAIL) programme. Early-stage startups working within the mobility and vehicle area are eligible to take part. The profitable startups will get a possibility to undertake a paid Proof of Concept (PoC) with the corporate, the auto main famous. 

These chosen startups might be intently mentored by trade consultants within the home and worldwide startup ecosystem, it added. Besides, the taking part startups might be supplied with a possibility to show their progressive concepts into sensible and disruptive options and showcase their entrepreneurial capabilities, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) mentioned in an announcement.

“As a key stakeholder, we are committed to nurture and promote a culture of innovation in this dynamic industry. In the last two years, we have had an encouraging experience through the MAIL initiative. Already 25 startups are engaged with us and 13 Proof of Concepts have been enabled. Several of these are successfully bringing value to the business of the automobile industry,” MSI managing director and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa mentioned.

Launched in January 2019, the target of MAIL programme is to determine and convey collectively startups with progressive and cutting-edge options, and additional collaborate to co-create technology-led options in mobility and vehicle area. MSI has partnered with GHV Accelerator an Indo Japanese early-stage seed fund, to determine and deal with the early-stage startups with progressive and customer-oriented options. So far, Maruti Suzuki has engaged with 25 startups and eight of those startups are present process acceleration with it. The programme has already enabled 13 PoCs.
