Ten individuals died in Agra prior to now 4 days after consuming spurious liquor.

Nine policemen have been suspended following the demise of 10 individuals because of the consumption of suspected spurious liquor on this district of Uttar Pradesh, police officers mentioned on Thursday.

Police have confirmed that 4 individuals died after consuming spurious liquor and mentioned the investigation is on to determine the rationale behind the demise of six others.

“Nine police personnel, together with three SHOs and 6 constables, have been suspended over the incident. We have additionally despatched a suggestion for motion in opposition to the responsible excise officers and the policemen to the federal government,” Additional Director General of Police, Agra, Rajeev Krishna mentioned.

He mentioned, “Reports from Forensic Science Laboratory confirmed the presence of methyl alcohol in 4 viscera samples despatched for testing”. Thus the 4 males died after consuming spurious liquor, he added.

Ten individuals died in Agra prior to now 4 days after consuming spurious liquor, members of the family have mentioned. Four deaths have been reported in Deoria Village and two deaths in Garhi Jahan village within the Shamsabad space of the district.

Four individuals died in Kaulara Kalan and Barkula villages after consuming spurious liquor, the members of the family mentioned. People mentioned spurious liquor was simply obtainable within the villages and urged to administration to crack down on these promoting it.

The three Station House Officers (SHOs) in opposition to whom the motion was taken are from Taj Ganj, Shamsabad, and Dauki areas, police mentioned.
