Nadendla, a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Bihar cadre, has been appointed as joint secretary for a mixed tenure of 5 years from the date of assumption of the cost of the submit or till additional orders.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, on Monday, has appointed Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendla, lAS (Bihar,1995) as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. 

Nadendla, a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Bihar cadre, has been appointed as joint secretary for a mixed tenure of 5 years from the date of assumption of the cost of the submit or till additional orders. 

As per the official assertion, “Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendla, lAS (BH:1995) appointed as Joint Secretary Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, for a tenure of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Vivek Aggarwal, lAS (MP:1994).” 

The appointment of Nadendla together with a number of others has been accepted by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) which is headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as per the order by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Talking in regards to the others who’ve been appointed by the central authorities are Abhay Singh, a 2004 IAS batch of the Bihar cadre, and Priya Ranjan, from 1998-batch Indian Forest Service officer, Rajasthan cadre. 

Meanwhile, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet additionally appointed Pramod Kumar Meherda, a 1997-batch IAS officer, Odisha cadre, as Managing Director (MD) in National Food Security Mission (NFSM) which comes underneath the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare division.
