Centre Could Withdraw New Farm Laws Considering Upcoming Up Assembly Polls: Bjp Leader

A BJP chief has supported farmers’ agitation towards the three new farm legal guidelines and stated that the BJP-led central authorities might withdraw them holding in thoughts Uttar Pradesh meeting polls. “The calls for made by the farmers are proper. Keeping in thoughts the meeting polls and anger among the many farmers, the Modi authorities might withdraw (new) farm legal guidelines,” UP BJP working committee member Ram Iqbal Singh told reporters here on Sunday night.

Due to protests against the farm laws, BJP leaders could not enter villages in western UP, he said, adding the farmers can also gherao them in the future. On the deadlock in parliament over Pegasus snooping, Singh said opposition’s demand should be considered in a democratic country.

“If opposition wants probe, government should go ahead with it. It is the responsibility of the government that parliament runs smoothly,” he stated. Questioning preparations of the expected third wave of COVID-19, Singh stated the state authorities didn’t study from the second wave and no efficient preparations have been made to sort out the anticipated surge in circumstances by the top of the month.
